Des Plaines Fish and Wildlife Area has two Hand Trap Ranges available for daylight hour use. Visitors must provide their own traps, clays, and, of course, shot guns. These ranges only permit shot guns - so no rifles or hand guns are permitted. Additionally, the traps must be hand traps.
The ranges may be closed due to weather conditions or during pheasant season.
