Kauri Point Reserve has one car park which is located on Moor Park, Wattle Downes. It is a large flat mown grass area with some trees and seating. It overlooks and is surrounded by the Manukau Harbour on three sides. Access to the sea is available via steps. It is part of the Wattle Downes Walkway if you wish to venture further than the reserve

The reserve is not enclosed by fencing. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides and has a road/parking area on the forth side.
