This sun calendar consists of a large obleisk, an information plaque, large metal discs and an open patio.
The directions on the plaque state that using the shadow created by the obliesk, and the discs on the patio, one can determine the correct date of the year (between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM).
There are two different colored lines that show the shadows path. The lighter path indicates dates between June 21 and December 22, while the darker path shows dates between December 22 and June 21.
There is also a black line which indicates the Spring and Vernal equinoxes of March 22 and September 21.
