The War Memorial is made up of five black marble pillars with three flag poles in the background. The center pillar has SIX service emblems on it. The sixth one being the Merchant Marine Emblem. There are two benches located on the perimeter of the memorial for people to sit if they wish. It is a very clean, and well kept area. The surrounding park looks as though it has had a landscape renovation lately. Behind the memorial sits a gazebo with two other pillars. These pillars have the names of the donors, and contributors.

Soldiers Prayer
We bow our heads in deep respect to
Our Lord and thank Him for the many
Brave Men and Women who have answered
The call to the fight for freedom.
We render to all their dues:
Tribute to whom tribute is due:
Honor to whom honor is due.
Romans 13:7
Some have paid the Supreme price,
Some have paid a lesser price,
But whatever the cost, you have paid it.
We stand in deep appreciation
For the liberty we enjoy and
We stand in honor of your memory.

Description of Memorial: Beecher City's War Memorial is one of the better ones I have ever visited. For a town of a little over 500 people, this is quite an accomplishment to have such a grand memorial for our Veterans.
It consists of five black marble pillars, with the names of the men and women who served during the wars.
It is all backed up by three flag poles consisting of an American Flag, POW Flag, and a Illinois State Flag.
The grounds are well kept and maintained.
