In 1912, the Late Gothic Church of St. Bartholomew in Pardubice obtained a richly decorated annex on the western side completed by the architect Dvorak. Famous Czech painter of the era Mikolas Ales designed the pictures of three main patron saints of Bohemia - St. Wenceslaus, St. Ludmila of Bohemia (grandmother of t. Wenceslaus) and St. Procopius of Sázava. The mosaics were made by Viktor Förster.
