The Big Swamp Wildlife Park is located on Prince Phillip Drive in South Bunbury. It is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm. The admission cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. There are also rates for pensioners and families.
The Park has picnic facilities, cafe, souvenir shop, interactive displays and ample parking. Visitors are able to walk though a large free flight aviary as well as hand feed kangaroos. There are also birds roaming free in the Park as well as an aviary were hand feeding of parrots is possible. Other animals in the Park include rock wallabies, possums and rabbits, with a wombat coming soon. There are over 60 varieties of native Australian birds including eclectus parrots, fairy wrens, owls and cockatoos. It is a great place to take the kids.
The Park is largely run by volunteers and supported by the Bunbury City Council. The park was formally called the Big Swamp Bird Park and was opened on 14th September 1986 by Dr Stephen Davies.
