The Bevo Mill
The construction of Bevo Mill was completed in 1917. August A. Busch Sr the head of Anheuser-Busch at the time had his architects study Flemish architectural designs with the intention of building an authentic windmill. The location chosen for the windmill was exactly half way between brewery and Grant's Farm, the Busch estate. The Mill was constructed to be a restaurant and the mill room was Mr. Busch's private dining room between work and home. From 1984 to 1986 the brewery spent over a million dollars renovating the mill. The mill now functions are a restaurant mainly serving banquets and private parties.
