Golden gate Park Windmill - Windmills on Waymarking.com

The North Windmill was built in 1902,and restored in 1980. A link to the history is here:

The water was used to feed lakes and provide irrigation for the development of Golden Gate Park
Unfortunately they used iron gears and rings which in not advisable so close to the ocean. This type of windmill as built in Europe are of all wood construction to combat corrosion.
