Aurora Bearealis Montage - Gimli MB - Bear Statues on Waymarking.com

In 2005, "Bears on Broadway" commemorated the 75th Anniversary of CancerCare Manitoba with 62 bears crafted from a concrete blend, weighing 8,000 pounds and standing 7 feet tall.
Since then they have all found permanent homes in various locations mostly in Winnipeg. This is one of 2 bears in Gimli, Manitoba which is about 80 km north of Winnipeg.

AURORA BEAREALIS MONTAGE
The polar bear’s relationship with its environment, the northern icebergs, snowflakes, northern lights, stars and food source is delicately detailed on a blanket of purple saxifrage, shrubby cinquefoil, cotton grass, lichen and spruce.
