In order to provide fast and reliable snow and ice removal during the winter months, the Will County Highway Department has several salt piles strategically placed around Will County.
This facility utilizes a 70-foot diameter dome to protect the salt from the elements.
To visit this waymark, you need not enter the facility since the gates may be closed for security reasons because the Will County Sheriff's Department shares the site. An access road behind the Menard's store can lead you next to the dome on its west side.
