This is one of 3 towers located along the 14-mile Trumpeter Trail drive through the Sandhill Wildlife Area just outside. This tower overlooks an area that's set aside to a small (12-20 head) bison herd. There's a small parking area (side of gravel road) and a short trail out to the tower. The stairs on the tower are steep - cross between stairs and a ladder. 260 acres is a lot, so the bison may be close or may be not - we couldn't see them easily when we were there from the tower, although we could driving further down the road.
