This stone chimney with matching fence posts is at CYO Camp Christopher in Bath Twp, Summit County, Ohio. It sits on flat ground atop sandstone ledges.

From the West Side Leader, 11/15/2007: "The Old Man’s Cabin on Fanny Hill at CYO Camp Christopher is undergoing a face lift, thanks to the donations of two individuals.

"Not much is left of the cabin, which is estimated to be between 78 and 108 years old, but it still contains a stone chimney and fireplace, which is falling apart, remnants of a foundation and some of what is assumed to be a porch.

"John Litten, director of CYO Camp Christopher, said Maureen McGinty, a former camp counselor and currently chief of interpretive programming and education for Metro Parks, Serving Summit County, donated an undisclosed amount of money to help restore the deteriorating chimney.

"'This cabin is a something we all revere,' McGinty said. 'The hearth by the chimney is a great place to sit and tell stories.'

"During recent visits, McGinty noticed a crack in the mantle area, which is causing a V-shaped cave in.

"'It has been deteriorating for several years, and I knew if something was not done soon it would be lost,' she said."

"With McGinty’s donation in hand, Litten solicited Jim Loftus, of Loftus Construction in Firestone Park, to prepare a bid on the restoration project several months ago.

"The evening after submitting an estimate, Loftus called Litten to tell him he would donate the cost of his labor for the project, reducing the cost for camp officials.

"'When I first came out, I looked it at a from business perspective, but as the day wore on, I discovered someone had made a donation to fund this project,' he said. 'I realized this site must mean a lot to people, so I decided I would donate my labor.'"
