In Dedham, near the Riverdale section of town, there is a toy VW bug mounted above the roof of Joe's Auto Sales and Service, at the corner of Bridge Street (Route 109) and Ames Street, on the southeast corner.
The object is a plastic riding toy that is in the shape of a red convertible bug with the top down, and was meant for small children. The store building is a rectangular structure with a peaked roof, where the support that supports the toy protrudes from the end nearest the road.
The web site states that Joe's Auto Sales and Service was founded in 1976. They have the garages to do repairs, and there is a lot where they have cars for sale including vintage VWs, some of which are shown on the web site.
