In Norwood, just south of the downtown section is the First Baptist Church building, which has a tall, slender steeple on the west end of the building.
The steeple starts on a four sided structure that has small spires at each of the four corners. On top of this structure is an eight sided structure that appears to be a bell tower. On top of that is another eight-sided feature, then the eight-sided spire, topped by a golden cross.
The church was built in 1952 by this congregation.
