Although this benchmark is stamped BM 225 R 1988, it is actually tracked in the Santa Clara Valley Water District's Vertical Control database as BM 245 where it is described as follows:
Brass disk on top and back of sidewalk; at center of north side of bridge for San Fernando Street over Guadalupe River; under bridge structure for Highway 87; 9.1 feet northwest from aluminum disk "VTA BM#59". City of San Jose.
