On the location of the central thermae that were discovered in 1943 most parts are still waiting to be excavated and explored. There are two structures that have been made available to the public.

One is a cellar of a private house that was destroyed in the first century to make room for the thermae. The cellar was filled and so remained in very good condition.

The sewer of the thermae leads from this location to the river Violenbach in the East, about 100 meters away. You can walk it along when you're not too large, overweighted or claustrophobic. It's very narrow and only about 1.60 m high. It's dark, clammy and you're not allowed to turn, because there's no way for two people to cross.

You do not learn very much about Roman civilisation down there, but it is a nice dare for younger kids.
