RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1952 IN ATLANTA. IN ATLANTA, FULTON COUNTY, ABOUT 2.6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN FIVE POINTS, ON THE SOUTH OR OUTSIDE OF A CURVE OF DELAWARE AVENUE S.E., 248 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF EASTWOOD AVENUE S.E., 42.3 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A MANHOLE IN DELAWARE AVENUE, AND 21.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OR 6.0 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH CURB OF SAME. A STANDARD TRAVERSE DISK IS STAMPED DELAWARE 1927 987.652 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST THAT IS 0.5 FOOT BELOW A CAST-IRON COVER WHICH IS FLUSH WITH THE SIDEWALK SURFACE.
