The new pier was built over the old 612 foot long structure. The pier is constructed with 12 inch pilings filled with cement that have been driven in excess of 75 feet into the lake bed. The decking and railing has been constructed with Douglas Fir that has been treated with a process called “envirosafe plus”. This non-toxic treatment is also supposed to extend the life of the pier. The new pier is ADA (Americans Disability Act) compliant from the parking lot to the railing making this new pier accessible to all.
