Located right on the edge of a rural road, this marker and plaque recognizes the Wood Dale School District # 2629. It was the very first school in the R.M. of Wood River # 74. Founded on July 2, 1909, it was opened in 1911 and closed in 1962. Nothing else remains of the school but the memories of the former students.
