This location of Hanson Aggregates was acquired from Dewitt-Genesee Leroy Stone Corp. The quarry mines limestone by first drilling the limestone then blasting the rock wall with dynamite. The blasted riprap is loaded onto haul trucks and taken to a bell style crusher which will crush the stone down to 5 inches then it is conveyored to additional crushers and screens to seperate into specified and needed sizes. The facility also has a wash plant for washing aggregate a 5 ton batch blacktop plant, continuous drum blacktop plant and a lab that test blacktop samples and stone size.
