The sculpture on top the base is of two Knee-length soldiers. Both wear combat uniforms. One soldier is assisting the other soldier. Each soldier has his own rifle.
The text on the base reads: "Dedicated with thanks by the people of Marin county November 11, 1985 to all who served this country in Korea and Vietnam and sacrificed so much that others might be free for those who gave their lives there is no tomorrow may their souls rest in peace."
