The
Oswegoland Park District's Saw Wee Kee Park was once a strip mine. The spoil piles are now part of the trail system. Approximately 7 miles of narrow trails meander throughout the 130-acre park.
No fees or permits or licenses are required to ride in this park. Picnic and bathroom amenities are spartan at best, so prepare accordingly.
If you plan a more leisurely pace, a camera is highly recommended. You may come across some
wildlife or find an excellent view.
CAUTION: These trails are not for the exclusive use of mountain bikes. These trails are also used by hikers, geocachers, orienteers and equestrians. Each will try to yield to the other as appropriate to their ability and location on the trail - bearing in mind horses are always first.
