To the honoured memory of those sailors and soldiers who gave their lives for their country in the Great War 1914 - 1918 and who lay buried in this cemetery. Their name liveth for evermore.
Height of monument = 4.7 meters.
Physical Description:
An octagonal base surmounted by two plinths and a cross of sacrifice. There is a crusader sword on the face of the cross.
The monument is in the older part of the cemetery on a raised path running parallel to London Road.
