This clock was made in 1915, and first owned by Percy Pangborn, who was brother of Clyde Pangborn.
Clyde along with Hugh Herndan, Jr., made a record-breaking flight across the Pacific Ocean from Misawa, Japan, to Wenatchee, WA in 1931.
Percy owned a jewelery store in Wenatchee, and the clock was located in front of his store. After a couple of moves, the clock came to rest at it's present location on Wenatchee Ave.
I have always loved this clock. While I was growing up, it was owned by Leroy Jewelers. During the 90's, the store was going out of business, and my husband and I bought our wedding rings there. Now it is owned by Miller's Camera.
