Republic Plaza was built in 1984, during Denver's boom in oil and telecommunications. It is the tallest (currently) building in Denver, with 56 floors. It is a typical tall, mirrored-glass and Sardinian granite concrete core, rectangular building. The architectural style is modernism. The three-story lobby is marble and features quarterly art exhibits from prominent artists. There is a food court in the lower level of the building. A Security Guard told me it is illegal to take pictures from the plaza; photos may be taken from the sidewalk. (
