The Church of St. Joseph (Kostel Sv. Josefa) in Námestí Republiky (Square of Republic) is example of small austere sacral architecture of Baroque era.
Baroque church of St. Joseph (built in the years between 1636-1653 as part of a Capuchine monastery) is huddling on Square of Republic next to the massive structure of neo-Romanesque barracks George of Podebrady (nowadays rebuilt into huge Palladium shopping mall). The church is partly hidden behind the wall, that separates it from the Square and creates also a small courtyard. Wall towards the Square is decorated by two Baroque statues of saints.
