This lonely chimney stands today amoung the foundation ruins of a, for the day, substantial building on the south side of the long abandoned "Hojack" Railroad right of way. Located at the intersection of the railroad and several present and past roads , tells me this was a good spot for a for a track keepers house or even a station. The remaining stonework is very similar to that found on the remaining railroad works ( culverts, bridges) so probably were built around the same time.
Now the house is long gone and the railroad an overgrown memory, but the chimney remains.
