"Der Brunnen" - Hamburg, Germany - Fountains on Waymarking.com

This fountain has 5 huge moving columns. Each column rotates two times per minutes and slowly rises and descents. During their rise, the 5 small fountains in front stand still. When a column descents, the appropriate smaller column starts to rotate up to 15 times a minute.

The lost heat of the pump heats the water for the fountain, therefore is the only fountain in the world, that also operates at temperatures up to -30°C.
