This time capsule was placed here by the Kiwanis and the Dekalb county commissioners. It was placed here in 1987 in honor of Dekalb County's sesquicentennial. It will be opened in 2037. This time capsule is on the county courthouse lawn and is the middle of of the historic district of Auburn.
