Mural depicts a number of scenes of rural life in the region, including a train, covered wagon (Oregon Trail), Pony Express rider, early settlers cattle ranch, Platte river valley, and an old view of downtown Cozad, NE. Note the coordinates (W 099 59.060) as the location of this mural is less than one mile east of the old 100th Meridian, which was a historic westward goal for the railroad during the westward expansion. The mural is painted on the wall of an old brick building on the main drag through town, and a short distance from the 100th Meridian Museum.
