In a dense residential neighborhood of mostly single family homes stands the home of Don Parks and all his cast of characters in his front and read yard. There are hardly any patches of grass (or dirt since it's the desert) available as a variety of statues, signs, and other items fill his property.
Mr. Parks first acquired his Paul Bunyan in 1969 from a gas station in San Francisco. He later sold it to a shoe store in Phoenix who then went out of business. They then sold it to a lumber store. That store also closed allowing Mr. Parks to buy the statue back. So now he sits in the front yard of his house, right behind a tree. Fortunately during my visit there were no leaves on the tree so I could see the Bunyan pretty clear, but that may not be the case in the summer.
