Babí lom - pohodlne dostupný pro obyvatele Brna - byl oblíbeným cílem už v 19. století a betonová rozhledna z roku 1961, vysoká 15 metru, je jen moderní obdobou drívejších drevených vyhlídek. Z jejího ochozu je parádní výhled na všechny strany - sever a západ patrí nekoncícím lesum Ceskomoravské a Drahanské vrchoviny, na východe razí do ocí svou belostí vranovský klášter, na jihu tlumene hucí velké Brno a za ním, je-li nebe bez mrácku, vystupuje z rovin mohutná Pálava.

Wie ein Leuchtturm am Rande einer Schlucht wirkt der prismatische Turm am Rand des Kammes Babí lom. Babí lom - bequem erreichbar für die Einwohner von Brünn - war bereits im 19. Jahrhundert ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Der 15 m, hohe Aussichtsturm aus Beton aus dem Jahr 1961, ist nur eine moderne Ausgabe der früheren hölzernen Aussichtstürme.
