The coordinates are for the location shown in the above photo of the Pennsylvania Historic Marker that commemorates the life of Andrew Carnegie, who did more for libraries than just about anyone else I can think of. Also, you actually have a prayer of finding a parking place in the area of the posted coordinates, in case you wish to visit this beautiful old library. It is Pittsburgh's best! A $1 million gift from Andrew Carnegie was enough to construct this beautiful building along with five branches in other sections of Pittsburgh. Nowadays you could barely buy a feasibility study for that small piece of change. Learn more about the library by visiting its internet website. The library's located at 4400 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, in the heart of Oakland between the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie-Mellon University.
