It is a Celtic cross design and is made of Weldon stone. J G Pullen and Sons from Northampton built the memorial and it was dedicated by the Reverend Samuel Frost on 27th April 1920.
The inscription reads 'IN MEMORIAM 1914-1919' and lists the following:
'* Lieut. William Henry Alfred Fitzroy, Viscount Ipswich, Coldstream Gds.
* Sergt. William Walter White, South Lancs Regt.
* L.Cpl. Harry Chapman, Yorks Hussars.
* Pte. Thomas Archer, Oxon and Bucks Light Inf.
* Pte. Frank Edward Bailey, Northants Regt.
* Rifleman Arthur Roberts, 9th Lancers.
* Rifleman Alfred Yeatman, K.R.R.C.
