The centerpiece of Aviation Memorial Gardens is a statue of a lone airman representing all Army aviators. Ft Rucker, home of Army aviation, is a neighbor of Enterprise. Money was raised for the memorial to show support for what Army aviation has done for Enterprise. The memorial was established before Army aviation was opened to women.
