This bell is displayed in front of its former home, a building that housed St. John's Episcopal Church from 1850 to 1955. The bell's engraving indicates that it was donated to the church in 1905, in memory of Charles Anderson McLeod, born Aug. 5, 1835 and died Sep. 19, 1898. The building now is the home of the Phelps Art Center.
