The stamp was emitted to centennial of declaration of this area as a first geologic reserve in Bohemia in 1895. According to graphic design of Adolf Absolon the stamp was engraved by Martin Srb.
The most renowned "stone organ" in this country is located near Kamenický Šenov in Northern Bohemia. This natural formation, in fact solidified basalt magma, was discovered due to mining activities. Enjoying protection since 1895, Panská skála/ Seigniorial Rock forms the oldest geological reserve in Czechia.
