The Tom's Run Trail begins at the parking area for the Hearts Content Scenic Area.

This three-mile trail winds through stands of hemlocks, large rock formations, and alongside Tom's Run before passing through a pine plantation on the return to the parking area. The terrain is modest with the exception of one stretch of significant elevation change over about a quarter mile.
This is a very scenic trail and is popular with local residents. The parking area is plowed during the winter and will hold about a dozen vehicles. The area can be visited 24/7.
