Moulin Rouge ("Red Mill") - one of symbols of Paris (and places which are photographed by most of tourists...) - is a cabaret built in 1889 by Joseph Oller. Moulin Rouge, located next to Montmartre in the Paris red-light district of Pigalle on Boulevard de Clichy in the 18th arrondissement, is marked by the red windmill on its roof.
Among famous names, which bearers performed at the Moulin Rouge, you can find for example: Ella Fitzgerald, Liza Minnelli, La Toya Jackson, Elton John, La Goulue, Josephine Baker, Frank Sinatra, Yvette Guilbert, Jane Avril, Mistinguett or Édith Piaf. The Moulin Rouge is also the subject of paintings by post-impressionist painter Toulouse-Lautrec and crucial location for several movies...
The current revue is named "Feerie". This show contains 4 main scenes with a total of 69 songs. The multiple acts are performed by a total of 100 artists including Doriss girls (similar to Las Vegas showgirls), dancers, acrobats, magicians and clowns.
