This artesian well is located just east of the church building besides the parking area and boat landing for the Lumber River.

This well has been a landmark in the community of Pembroke for years. The first time I saw this well I was a young lad all of 9 years old. It consisted of a concreted runoff pad and an ell shaped pipe exiting the ground with the coldest and greatest tasting water anywhere to be found. Today the church has replaced the ell pipe with a pitcher pump that is rigged to allow continuous flow. The water is still cold and great tasting.
