Just south of its replacement this bridge serves as fishing platform for anglers of the area and as a support system for a pipe line to points east and south of the the town of Dillon, SC. The nomenclature plate on the ends of the bridge are missing. This bridge is likely constructed in the early 50's, possibly late 40's. In the early 60's there was an unofficial race between SC and NC to have a four lane highway system from the mountains and western areas of each state to the coast to promote tourism, with many roads changes were made. Many bridges and roads were moved, widened, or re-built.
