Zippy often visits several places in one strip. In the "Show Me The Foam" strip,
the first two panes of this Zippy strip depict the Imperial Car Wash in Inglewood, California. Zippy seems to love this Googie architecture with the exposed "cheese-hole" girders.
The roof line of the car wash in the third pane, also Googie-styled, is different than that of the first two panes. Looking at the sign in pane 3 of the strip, one can see that this is the Jet Car Wash, also in Inglewood, California.
While walking by the car washes, Zippy and Grff have a conversation about why you never see actors brush their teeth in the movies.
