Ursa Astronomical Association and City of Helsinki have planned and set up the model of the solar system in Helsinki. The scale is 1 : 1 000 000 000 thus planet Neptune is roughly 4,5 km from the Sun.

The model of the Sun is a ball 140 cm in diameter placed atop a 20 m tall pillar at the Patterimäki. Because of this, the model rises over 50 m above sea level and is therefore visible (at least if using binoculars) to even the most distant planet models.
Bus 14 from city centre has its terminus nearby. An other option is to take commuter train A (or L) from Central to Pitäjänmäki station.
The most practical way to tour all the models is by bicycle. There are bicycling maps with the locations of the planets at each of the planets with informational sign.
