Seddon Street is the main shopping street in Waihi
Statues in the main street also help form the ‘Heart of Gold’ identity. Tthe Statues of 'The Kids" is on the foot path outside a small reserve next to 53 Seddon Street
Warm water pumped from the early Martha Mine undeground workings flowed down the deep gutters where children loitered and played. These statues portray this activity.
