Voyageur Provincial Park is located on the banks of the Ottawa River with 416 campsites for tents and trailers.
Facilities provided include electric and no-electric sites, flush toilets, showers, laundry, playground, parkstore and boat launch. There is a day use area and group camping is available.
Since it is located between Ottawa and Montreal it gets very busy on the weekends during the summer. Reservations are recommended. The park has several beaches and offers excellent paddling for canoes and kayakers.
The park is opposite the once furious Long Sault rapids which voyageurs and fur traders portaged their canoes and heavy loads on their way up the Ottawa River. The river has since been dammed by The Carillon Dam which raised water levels and created marshes and inlets full of birds and wildlife. There are a number of interesting historic sites in the area which relate to the history of the fur trade.
Park fees are applicable - price depends on the activity.
