Tacony Overpass - Philadelphia, PA
N 40° 01.251 W 075° 02.614
18T E 496282 N 4430072
This steel girder-style bridge is used strictly for the Amtrak train and crosses over Unruh Avenue. The embankment is about 20 feet up and rather steep to get to so it is relatively safe. Cars can drive under this overpass as well.

I was visiting Saint Leo church and saw the railroad trestle about 200 feet in back of me. I went over to investigate and snapped a few photos. The first photo I took actually caught the Amtrak train passing over the tracks. What good luck! The name of the church and local neighborhood (acony) are painted on and decorate the side of the bridge. Most all overpasses in various Philadelphia neighborhoods have painted trestles which help beautify and decorate locales.
I used Google Earth to trace back the tracks to its point of origin which I discovered to be 20th & Kennedy Blvd, where it abruptly ends. There is not station there so I guess this is a mystery.
