This is a towering sculpture of William Bennett Bizzell, the fifth President of the University of Oklahoma. Bizzell earned an impressive seven degrees from four different universities. He came to OU after an eleven-year Presidency at Texas A&M. The sculpture is white, both the figure and the base. The figure is about 6 feet tall, dressed in robes, and the pillar/base is about 6 feet tall. The sculpture of Bizzell is located in a beautifully landscaped area south of the library named after him (Bizzell Memorial Library). There is a nice courtyard with several benches among the hedges and landscaping for students to sit and study or take a break between classes. The sculpture is located on the north end of the south oval of campus.
