Bronze memorial tablet dedicated to Prof. Jaroslav Heyrovský, the Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry 1959, can be found just beside the main entrance of the Chemical Institute of Charles University in Prague. Heyrovský was Professor of Physical Chemistry at Charles University from 1919 to 1950.
Jaroslav Heyrovský (December 20, 1890 – March 27, 1967) was a Czech physical chemist. Heyrovský, inventor of the polarographic analysis, is "father" of electroanalytical chemistry, and recipient of the Nobel Prize in 1959. His main field of work was polarography. [wiki]
