Brooklyn, Illinois is such a small town that it does not have population numbers on their town sign, as does their BIGGER namesake, with a population of 2.5 million.
We came across this small town of less than 100 while out waymarking. The town name sign is located just to the southwast as you enter Brooklyn on Illinois State Route 101.
The Google map with the coordenance is correct. This one is located in northenr west central Illinois.
If you just use "Google" in a straight up search it gives you a Brooklyn, Illinois near St. Louis.
