"In 1936 the Town’s new jail and city hall were completed as a W.P.A. project to provide services for the Town’s estimated 800 citizens. Its value at completion was $3,000.00. It has since been renovated in 1991 with State assistance to restore what the years and various remodeling have taken from its beauty."
